Thanks, sorry it goes so long between updates, been busy with the house and the car gets put on the back burner.
Had some misfortune last night, found that one of the header bolts in the very rear of the drivers side head broke off in the head, ended up having to pull the head and extract it. Going to order some gaskets and hopefully get it together this weekend (presuming I can get the parts in time).
As it sits right now I just need to reinstall drivers side head, finish fuel system (I have ran the lines, just have to finish the feed to the pump from cell and the under hood portion), buy or build a new fuel cell (current cell is only 8-10 gallons). Then just bolt everything up, exhaust is ready to go w/3.5" h-pipe already modified, trans is completely ready to go, driveshaft is installed, still have a few wiring issues (just small stuff I have to button up), run belts and hoses, then time to crank her up. Here are a few pictures of what I've been up to lately (once I get the head back on I'll provide some better update pictures).
Car found a new home in the third garage bay (now my daily gets to share the joys of being garaged w/the coupe and the cobra)
Mounted Eliminator Pump/filters:
Ran -10 feed/-8 Return in Twist-Tite:
Got the under hood section laid out:
Modified all my fittings (bored out all -6 fittings to -8 I.D., milled and radius'ed all the fittings for o-rings).
Milled some crossover delete plugs and drilled/tapped the ends of the rails for -AN fittings:
Milled an EGR delete plate:
Modified the factory oil sender for autometer fitting:
Extracted stupid broken header bolt (after breaking a left handed bit and and easy-out in the process and having to remove head)
So hopefully I'll have some good updates soon, along with a first start video!

Built a hvac/radio blank and shifter blank and installed 2 gauges and a radio last night. all of it is wired up. also built brackets for center belts (5 point harnesses).

Whats funny is the orange paint that is on that car was supposed to go on my car, but the owner of THR is a stupid tool and couldn't keep his shit straight. (in my opinion) I was living in el paso and remember that car. Yeah i made the mistake of going to Texas Hot Rods to get work done. i love that color.Last edited by stangstew; 01-27-2011, 02:15 PM.Nitrous is like a hot girl with an STD. Yeah its a rob from Peter to give to Paul kind of business. i had a rotating assembly built there and it took them 5 months to get it back. he feed me a bunch of bullshit about why it took so long. Come to find out he didn't have the money to pay the machine shop to get my shit. When i confronted him about it he gave me a bunch of hush hush parts. I know a guy that paid him something like $20,000 up front to build his cobra and took him 3 years to finish it and was told it would take a few months.Nitrous is like a hot girl with an STD. Seeing how THR was operated over the years makes me sick. The guys that actually did the work seemed to be pretty cool, but Brian is a piece of shit. He was always making promises that he had no intention of keeping and catered to whoever raised enough hell. Prison seems like it would do him some good and hopefully he gets his in the end..

Nothing too new to mention, built some speaker boxes and mounted them up under the dash (some pioneer 5 1/4's and some tweeters) so now the car has SOUND! Trying to figure out how to install the glove box and the trim piece under the steering wheel (the dash is "there" but no 100% functional, the glove box will have no chance of actually operating, it'll just be there for aesthetics). Modified the front speaker grills to go around the roll cage. Interior is starting to look real good. I plan to finish up the last of the interior wiring tonight.
Here is a little teaser shot from yesterday.
I really appreciate the interest in my project. I have put a lot of work in the car and it means a lot to hear that other people are interested in the final project. Thanks!
