I appreciate it, I just wanted to clear the air so that I don't show up to the cruise and get burned at the cross or something!

We're going to have to talk about what all you did to the wiring harness!

As I said earlier, I spent some extra bucks, but it makes for an incredibly well engineered swap, no hacked up stuff, I think it is better then factory.

See above, this engine looks purpose built for this car, the 4th gen fbody radiator bolts in for christ sake!

Yup, and while it isn't rare, it's not as common as it should be.

He already has a race built Cleveland and is a Cleveland freak, I have tried to switch him to the dark side many unsuccessful times.

Anytime man, mine is pretty barebones, just look at the car it's going in, but I did have to do a drive by wire to cable swap, wire in some additions sensors for that, got rid of a TON of stuff (got a 5gal bucket full of wire and pigtails that came out of my harness), had to switch my o2 connectors to ls1 style, will eventually swap my injector harnesses as well. It is tedious, and if you want everything to be clean there is a lot of soldering/heatshrinking, but it's actually kind of fun, I built a nice fuse/relay block as well which I will post pics of.

Was painted by the former shop "Texas Hotrods" in Amarillo, not by me, I'd have done all silver, apparently the guy asked for silver/lime green and got this when he went to pick it up. While it is not my first choice, wait to judge till you see it in first person, the quality is top notch and everyone I've had over whom only saw pictures has said, WOW, this looks so much better in person the pics (for what that's worth)

if the paint is in as good of condition as you say, it makes me cringe to see that blanket on there, never mind the hood on top of that

I am not done with all the wiring yet (still have to loom some things and what not), not 100% sure I'm going to use the GM power block or not, but total cost in this stuff is like $20 vs the $160 or so Painless wants for an underhood fuse block.

cheaper because they can be found in salvage yards all over the country. They're taking their place in sbc heritage. LOL

I'm gonna totally go against the grain and drop one of these chevy motors in a fucking Chevy Malibu, instead of a Ford Mustang.

I'm with you on this - Some variant of an 6+ liter LS engine is going in my Chevelle.

That would rock the fuck out, no doubt.

This build is cool too, because of all the hard work involved in a project of this size. I'm just razzin

That's exactly what I was thinking. Re-using that GM block is so under rated. If you're patient and take the time you can REALLY save yourself some cash! Good job, looking GREAT!
