It's a little bit odd to see the trap speeds so far off and a full second faster with nothing but a drag radial. It's not like car manufacturers are beneath sending out a stripped down ringer for the first publication.

I figure the GT500 would be quite close performance wise, maybe dodge really did their homework and it puts the power down well, that plus it's an auto.

Go get you a 700+hp car, put some factory street tires in a 275 size on it and see how fast you can go on the street. they werent even on a drag strip, they were on a road course with makeshift timing system.

Youre talking about your drag car vs a multipurpose race car. The Drag Pack they did in 2011 was only 750hp and went WAY into the 9's.

BTW, cars dont have to be gutted to be set up for drag.

Thats not even my point but nice try dick. If you wanna throw down 60k on a junky dodge of all things be my guest., The hellcat runs on that on drag radials same as I run, and my car really isn't a drag car at all. Would I road race it? No but would I hesitate to road trip in it? No.
