I can't imagine that experience. One guy was basically sitting on top of that lower plane about to fall just in time to be feet away from a fireball. Crazy.

They were parachuting without parachutes.

Fortunately the parachutists with no parachutes had backup parachutes and parachuted safely to the ground.
