Yea half of that remaining house is going to be in the lake eventually. If you look at some of the other pics it already has cracks in the brick close to the big crack in the cliff. Does insurance even cover something like this?

I have read this somewhere else. I would be interested to see how it lines up with the crack. Who the fuck that lives on a cliff would ever think this was a good idea.

The news report I saw said that they vacated a couple of weeks ago. They live in Florida and this was I guess a summer house. They said the Corp has been in contact with them to discuss the cleanup efforts that they will need to pay for when it finally all falls in.

I wonder what the land is worth once this is all done? I wonder how it will affect the value of the neighbor's properties. I would be one nervous sonofabich living next door just watching and waiting for when it finally drops off. I bet it will feel like an earthquake. I hope somehow it all gets caught on film.

heh, yeah either way you can probably bet there is going to be a lot of legal fees paid in by the homeowners and taxpayers.

My family has a lakehouse in Lakeside Village, just up the road from Steele Creek Park. It's right across from those bluffs. Their place is about 25 feet from the edge of a cliff overlooking the water, but it's not near as steep as those bluffs. We have an old ass trolley on a winch that takes us down to the water and back. Super sketchy!

I've probably seen your super sketchy trolley a few times since there aren't many of those on that lake.
