Pretty sure that's for the hood light. My cobra didn't have a light but had a plug like that and that's what we figured out it was for. I just tucked it up under the cowl cover

What does this plug into? Comes out by the brake booster area and has enough length to reach either the DS headlight or across the engine.

Not really. I agree that the pics make it look that way, but it has more to do with the lens of the camera than the car. That's why you're just now noticing after 20 years.

Glad it stayed in the Family! Car was a fun car, Just wasnt fast enough for me and didnt want to spend the money on upgrading it for the S trim I had for it. I put in Black Carpet and put in a decent set of seats before I traded it off. Car is healthy for sure and will holds its own. I still have the Anderson N.41 cam for it and a Romac Balancer

Congrats! I think you should stick with the 96-98 taillights.

Nice, I was overly tempted to pick it up when Seb had it for sale.

Well it's not a fox with $5k in mods, I thought it was presumed to be slow.

Few things inside and a paint job, that sucker will be a clean ass car. It drives and sounds healthy. A/C works as well.

I had the tan interior in my '01 Cobra and grew to love it. It had come a long way from the "peanut butter" interior of the early SN's though. My '96 had it, and I had converted the entire thing to black except the front seats when I rolled it.

I even hate it on the mustang. You don't want to know how many people said "I would buy your cobra if it only had black interior".
