Scotch clips are dogshit. You can generally tell the quality of work by that step right there.

Got but connectors with heat shrink and do it like you want it to last.

Love my Klein crimper/cutters. Anyone tries to borrow them and I throw things at them. Guy I work with grabbed my large Klein flat head screwdriver one day and then positioned it to use as a pry bar. I about lost my shit. LOL
Some of my Klein tools are almost as old as me. Actually I think my chrome wrenches are older than me.

Yeah, crimp and heat shrink like everyone else said. Make sure and get the marine heat shrink as it has an adhesive inside that will seal the connection when you heat it. Harbor Freight has a nice kit with a variety of sizes in it for pretty cheap.
