    I'll have to show this my uncle. It'll bring back some memories. In the early 70's, he use to seriously race a '55 BelAir and a 69 Chevelle. The '55 had a 302 that ran in the 10's, which was cooking back then.

          Reminds me of the old days, back behind Miller Brewery, or out off 360 south of 20 before the road was finished. Lot's a good racing in both places in the late 70's.

            Anyone ever drag race in Colleyville back in the day? When I worked there, the old heads said there use to be a drag strip called Ross downs. It's now a neighborhood called Ross downs...

              Ross Downs was a motorcycle track, at least it was in the early 70's. I did my first flat track race there on a modified Honda SL70. Back then, it was in the middle of nowhere, so there may well have been some street racing going on too.
