No welding. It bolted right back in the stock frame holes. It took me about 2 hours. Its not as strong as i would like, but im hoping with the limited use its gonna see it will be strong enough.

Yes its the 1200lb hf winch. I relocated the solinoid under the hood to give it more protection from the elements. Added some silicone to the end cap. Only bad things iv heard about these winches is they are not waterproof. I figure for the money and how often im gonna actually use it, it should work out ok. I hope.

Since it isn't waterproof I would highly suggest you buy a cover for it. Also, if I were you I would weld one of the nuts on the mounting bolts. People really like to steal winches.

heres the cover I ran on my jeep, unfortunately it did not protect it from people running red lights.
