Damn. Just comprehending the suction it must take on each of those pads to lift that sheet.

The plate lifter at our shop is rated to 5'000 lbs and it draws 24" of vacuum.

Thank you sir. They treat me very well. I know machines, PLCs, electronics, mechanics, etc.... but I am learning a whole new set of skills like Hydraulic principles, valves, motors, pressures, fluid theory....

Plus all the stuff specific to the metal industry, like tensile strength, yield point, section modulus, bending "the Hard Way" vs. "Easy Way" when you're dealing with I-Beams and Angle Iron....

Our angle bending machines are awesome, too.
