I can't say why they were banned, I've got no idea. It's a privately owned website with no guarantee of free speech. They're doing what they're allowed to, and what everyone should be allowed to on their own website/product.

I mean, so are most of the big name social media sites except for 4 chan. Reddit has extremely useful subs who's only affiliation with the communist scum is that they're on reddit.

These companies aren't going away, but if you read between the lines it does look like trump has something special planned for them.
