I always think the Isle of Man race must really throw professional riders for a loop as the perception of speed, obstacles, and general eye candy is much more prevalent. I would think it would be pretty disorienting if you were not use to racing it. The learning curve for that circuit must take years. One mistake and you are dead. Lots of guys died there.
Most of the guys that race it are primarily road racers and have been riding courses like that for a long time. In my eyes it is sorta like rally but on a super bike. Not trying to cheapen the riders skill in this, they are nothing short of amazing. Want some real fun, watch the sidecar race.
