My father had a '56. He had a shop do some work so he could put a rock crusher trans into and make it four on the floor. Pretty fun car to tool around in.

That's my plan mostly. Fuckin wide whites are expensive though and it's got fairly new tires on it already. Don't see deals too often on WWW tires either. Maybe some port-a-walls for now will do the trick



I don't think it could hurt that much seeing as it barely gets past 10 mph now in first, and it's making all sorts of noise trying to keep at a minimum highway speed. From what I've read a 67-68 Mustang rear will swap in pretty easy. Also heard Mavericks and Explorers as well. Just hoping to keep it cheap and easy. Don't have tools here to cut and weld spring perches and stuff.
