EAGLE POACHERS IN HARRISON COUNTY
$1,000 REWARD
The Iowa Department of Natural Resources is actively seeking information concerning a golden eagle shot northwest of Woodbine on 140th Street. It may have been killed either Tuesday, February 18th or the morning of Wednesday February 19th. There have been other cases of eagles recently shot in western Iowa and eastern Nebraska by what appears to be an organized group of individuals looking to sell them on the black market. Harrison County residents are encouraged to report any activity that may lead to the arrest and/or conviction of these poachers. Call the Turn In Poachers hotline at 1-800-532-2020 or report confidentially online at iowadnr.gov/tip.
The gentlemen in the picture are with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources and are NOT the individuals being sought after in this case.
