[edit: Nevermind, LFA. I mis-read the above comments and thought someone said that was a Porsche. DUH!]

The blue on that M4. Jesus.

Honestly, I still prefer the 997.2 GT3 over the 991 GT3, but I'm sure that might change with time and exposure.

For some reason, I'm loving the comp on this Pagani pic. Really, really well done on these.

        Thanks!

Porsche has always been my favorite car, but I really love the wider body on the 991s. The GT3 was my favorite car at the show.

Friend of mine has a 997.2 GT3 and is considering taking over the pre-order of a 991 GT3 that someone at park Place "abandoned". Since I have the C4S, I already feel as if the 997 is wide enough for my tastes, as it shares the same wide-body as the GT3RS.

I'm sure in a couple of years I'll get over it and be in love all over again.

Was the new Targa there at all?

probably bailed on it due to threats of fire. buy now on discount, send in for recall and wait for the bad press to blow over.

no targa. atleast i dont think so. they had a red vert. i have an extreme dislike of verts so i neglected to spend much time on it.

Indeed. It's akin to the RMS/IMS issues that plagued the 996 and 997.1.

Drove a few Cabriolets before going Targa, and I'll agree. I tend to always err on the side of Convertibles, too, so I was surprised.

I knew it was at the Detroit show, and wanted to see/hear the new Targa in action in person, but missed it over the weekend, anyway.

There wasn't a Targa. Only a convertible, GT3, and Cayman.

                    They confuse Porsche, as well. C2, C2S, C4, C4S, GT3, GT3RS, CGTS.

Half the time the wide-body vs. narrow-body decision doesn't even make sense.

                    And that's *just* the 911. . .

Porsche needs to stick to what they do best, 911's. I can't stand the ugly Panamera, Cayenne, Cayman, Boxster, etc...

The 911 is my first choice, but I think the Boxter is the only one I don't like.

At least the Cayenne wouldn't spontaneously combust. Land Rovers were good when they had BMW backing, now they are junk IMO.

While I agree, I was shopping 2013 Caymans and Boxsters when searching for my car. I absolutely loved how they handled/sounded/felt, but couldn't find a manual in the particular color I wanted, and would have had to order one, thus eliminating any of the incentive of buying an end of model year car.

That and I couldn't even begin to imagine how many times I'd hear "Why didn't you get a 911?" I already hear "Why didn't you get a Turbo?" plenty.

                              So silly.
