This is a 16 ton medium rotator built by Holmes, model is their 600R. Pretty impressive wrecker for a medium duty. So far I have been unable to see what one cost, but maybe one day I'll have one.

I feel you on the damn drivers not getting over! I twisted the pinion shaft in two on my half ton going over the mountain here in El Paso. The rear was locked up so tight that it drug a dually and my trailer backwards with the winch. Finally broke down and called a roll back. He had all the lights going and had cones put out a long ways back and we still nearly got hit by several people coming up.

Did two shuttle buses today for the Can Academy and a 14' U-Haul box truck. I didn't get a chance to take a pic of the U-Haul, but here's one of the shuttle buses.Attached FilesOwner of Titan Towing

A little U-Haul action for today. This is the largest in their fleet, plus it had a car dolly on the back.Attached FilesOwner of Titan Towing

Just curious, do you have to put weight up front to counter the load?
Borrowed this from another website: The Formula for the Safe Towing Capacity of any tow vehicle is as follows; STC = 1/2 the Front axle weight of the tow truck multiplied by the wheel base of the tow truck divided by the overhang of the tow truck (overhang is from the rear axle hub measured to the front axle of towed vehicle or king pin of the wheel lift). A good example would be a Tow truck (Ford F550) with a front axle rating of 6000lbs, a wheel base of 165 inches and an overhang of 85 inches would give it a STC of 5284 lbs only.Owner of Titan Towing
