Putting a 5.3 in it would be like buying a Cobra with a blown motor and saying that it'd be better to drop in a 2v and sell it as a GT. It just doesn't pass the logic test.

The 6.0 is just a couple hundred more dollars, and it'll be the truck it is supposed to be. Dropping in a 5.3l is wrong on so many levels.

Times have changed. People have some fast ass lsx lq9 based trucks. Have you seen the 1000hp silverado drag the 900hp gtrs ass on the highway?

Not saying it's some badass truck but it's on par with a silverado ss, it's the same thing minus all the gay shit that has "SS" all over it. I guess it's a niche.

Im not against putting what it had back in it. Its just dumb to dump a bunch of money in it modding it when you have the coupe. Sad part is it would probably make more hp than your coupe with just a few bolt ons.
