Finally a daily driver for 91coupemike

Crapstang found me a truck.

It's a 2004 GMC VHO. Has the lq9 high output 6.0 and a 4l65e, pretty much an SS without the AWD.

Got a smokin deal, it needs TLC and an Engine. I'm the third owner and the previous owner seriously neglected it. But it's nothing I cannot undo.









Hopefully have it on the road in a few weeks.

Had an engine lined up, but it sold too fast. Another will pop up soon.
91coupemike is quick to get his vehicles back on the road, so it shouldn't be a problem. The lq9 right now has a viewing window from the side!

Looks nice. It's pretty tough to ventilate an LSx. Hope that it doesn't have any other problems.

More like they forgot to check the oil levels. The LQ9 isn't known for oil pump issues. My LS1 is easy to work on, even jammed up under the cowl of my F body, should be a breeze on the truck.

I can see that. It's in need of a heavy cleaning which will be more work then the engine swap, haha.

I've done a lot on the 5.3s, this is only a little different.

I thought that on the Nissan Frontier that I just fixed. In that case, all of the damned pistons were melted and it took me a day just to get the torque converter off the fucking flywheel.

What kind of a deal did you get, i dont think i would buy a truck someone blew the engine racing to 100, hope the rest of the truck is straight.

My buddy is still driving the hell out of the last car Mike put an engine in. Hell maybe I should have hired him do the motor in my Buick, I'm a lazy bastard and still haven't finished it. lol
