His car is not so stock either. Also, it needs a re-tune pretty bad. He isn't exactly a conservative driver either. At all. lol

Mine isn't modded to the extent that his is, but it does have bolt ons. Neither am I.

Is your car a 6spd? The ls series is known for respectable gas mileage.
He also lives IN the city. Denton has a whole lot more lights and traffic than Kaufman does.

Yeah, but the 6th gear isn't usable until I am over 55MPH. Even then it's at about 1400rpm. Oh I know, the LS series of motor is great for MPG's, but with so much less weight, I figured that Mike would be closer on the MPG's.

I work 3 miles from work so it never fully warms up, and I get about 16.5-18 mpg depending on if it's summer or winter. Around 20-21 hwy at 70mph.

The trucks instant mpg readout is at 17.1 mpg lol

I'm constantly over 2000 rpm too, I hate using 5th unless I'm going over 50.

                320rwhp. 7.67 @ 90mph 1.7 60'

Ah, I see. You have to travel to an alternate dimension on your commute. That always sucks up fuel.

Ah, that sounds more on par. Oh and that truck lies it's ass off, that or they did a LOT of highway driving. I have only seen two computers that calculate MPG's accurately.

                      Either way I much rather have a 6.0 then a 5.3.

Did I mention I have access to hp tuners ?

Buy a Honda if you are worried about mpg.

You'll never notice the difference in a stock application. Either way, get an aluminum block (4x4 applications), and if it has a cylinder deactivation feature, turn that shit off.
ZOMBIE REAGAN FOR PRESIDENT 2016!!! heh

I'm pretty sure the aluminum 6.0s only came in the vortechmax trucks in truck applications. L76s are expensive (2500+).
                            There are aluminum 5.3ls, though.

It's just going to get an iron lq9.

If I ever get wild, 4l80 and some boost and it'll fly.
