I think this is badass! I would much rather roll in one of these than a minivan. I bet this company is gonna make a lot of money.

They've been around at least a couple of years. Sure nicer to choose from than the typical van.

Wonder what that modification does to the structural integrity in the event of collisions or a rollover... Still cool none the less!
"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man." - Thomas Jefferson, 1776

West Coast Customs did a custom Ford Explorer for an injured veteran that was designed just like this.

A guy I graduated high school with became a paraplegic a few years later. Last time I saw him he had an extended cab silverado with a rig stored right behind the driver's seat. He would open the driver's door and hold down a button. That would open the rear door (the reverse opening kind) and swing out his chair on a boom and place it right next to the driver's seat. He could then use his arms to swing himself down to it. Then reverse that for loading back up.

It was pretty trick and gave him the ability to get out on his own.

Here, I found the same basic thing he had. I don't recall the lowering piece for him, but it's likely he had the same.
