Some how during the mid 90's as a teen I bullshitted my way into working at a little road race shop.

Originally we had two trucks and two trailers. One was a double decker trailer that held 4 formula cars. We had a wench that pulled the cars up on the upper deck, but it wasn't quite strong enough to pull the cars 100% up. It usually petered out around the time the cars would *just* about make it from the ramps to the trailer.

All the guys from the shop would have to pick up the ramps and reduce the angle so the wench could get the cars up. How no one ever get hurt I have no idea. Later we got a 48' enclosed trailer to double stack the cars that held 6 cars easily and had a proper wench.

What I wouldn't give to have pictures of that original trailer set-up.
