Yeah, cold cat = cold catapault, i.e. not enough or no steam pressure.

My club uses F-14s as our "full contact" dogfighting plane. 80+mph, highly maneuverable, and cheep to rebuild. I've had my share of dirt naps after a full speed head o with another bird.
Will always have a place for the F14 in my heart.

In the late 80's, we would go over to the Naval Air Station in Grand Prairie and sit at the end of the runway by the lake and watch those things take off. They were badass.
