Ive found so many of those that I stopped asking for the most part. I know a guy that has 25+ classic mustangs, and he wont sell any of them, or parts. They are wasting away outside, but it's his "retirement" so he is waiting to sell them. I think he will die and his family will be trying to give them away.

I've dealt with that before as well. He was a friend of a friend. I sat down and spoke with him (he was an older man) and was able to make inroads with him regarding him getting older and the cars are wasting away. Once we touched on the fact that many of the cars only have a few more years in the elements before anyone could salvage them he also came to the conclusion. It was selfish to hold them any longer. He broke a few of his cars loose and sold them for a hefty profit (one was a nice COE truck actually). Since then I've driven by his place a few times and some of the cars he wanted to hold on to have fallen through the blocks holding them up. At least he saved a few of them.

The guy that is across the street from my shop crushes cars for a living. He bought over a thousand cars and trucks from an estate. He said the dude was just hoarding cars, none of them were anything special at all, most were late 70s-early 80's crapboxes. This dude seemed to just be buying cars that were headed for a Pick-n-pull.

My uncle in Missouri has about 30 old cars, most are cars people would like to have. Old rancheros, chevelles and etc, he won't sell a one of them. I have tried for years to buy a couple off him and it won't happen. They are just sitting there. When you finally do talk him into giving you a price on one it is 3 times higher than it should be so no one will buy it anyways, it's just his way of keeping them.

Car hoarders suck. At least, if they're just letting them waste away in a field. If they're at least in a barn or storage of some sort, they won't rot as fast.

You can find everything for 2500. Diesel dynamics had a setup for sale about 6 months ago.

I got some new pics of the truck today and I will be posting them up. It has C0-9245-F on the intake which tells me it is definitely a Y block engine but I am stumped on how to tell how many cubes the engine is. Anyone know the way to tell?

Unfortunately this guy had nothing but muscle cars and old t-buckets for the most part. He must have had 30 f-bodies. 67-70.
