  • Good day for a swim. 12-7-13

Water was fine for 3-4 seconds. I would've stayed in longer but I was worried about shrinkage.

I've jumped into water like that a few times in the past for polar bearing and that's crazy cold. Pins and needles. You get out of the water and you feel warmer, though.

We used to turn the hot tub as hot at it would go and immediately jump in the pool in weather like this.

                  I have no idea why.

I used to do that too. The seeing how far you can jump is cool till you have to swim back and you're built like a T-Rex.

I would do this when I was living with my folks. We had a pool with a hot tube. It would be snowing and I would decide to swim across the pool and back then jump in the hot tube. That would definitely shock the system.

Getting back into the hot tub was the worst part.

Getting out of the hot tub and making the 100 yard dash to get back in the house was always the killer for me.
