Do the best you can with what you have.
Be honest, even if it hurts.

It is a moot point. If the police won't do what the politicians tell them to they will get fired. They will be replaced by people who will. The history books are full of people who will murder at the command of others and those simple minded people require nothing more than someone to blame for it, other than themselves, to sleep at night.Originally posted by racrguyWhat's your beef with NPR, because their listeners are typically more informed than others?Originally posted by racrguyVoting is a constitutional right, overthrowing the government isn't.

Kudos to her. Every single thing she said is true. If a cop is asked to do something immoral, then he should leave their team and join ours.
She mentions a line in the sand. I have drawn my line and it is with Obummercare. I WILL NOT become a financial slave to the govt. You could say I already am, but I refuse to budge any further. When they start trying to penalize me, I will pay them back, but it won't be with money.
Where is your line in the sand?

I just now watched this, and like the message she conveyed. I do agree with Al's point though, that if and when the right minded police step down, there will be plenty of power hungry "jack booted thugs" to step up and take their place.
Many of her points could be applied to "law abiding" citizens complying with the "rules" as well.
Aside from all of that, I was a little confused about the need for 85 background changes.
