I've look at mine when crossing the finish line at redline and it wasn't correct and it had stock gearing.

racing through traffic use to be something of a sport for a few friends and I. But when cars came to join in we would let off. Fuck cars chasing you at speeds like that. They cant stop(well not all cars)like bikes do.

Best I ever did was bounce off the rev limiter in 6th gear on my 04 R1. Don't know what the speed was, the speedo showed all dashes.

Seems like 190+ felt the same as 150. Not proud of it at all. Young, dumb, ect...

I have been over 200 on a few occasions back in the day on my bikes and once in a vehicle. Back when I use to ride some pretty mean turbo bikes I kind of got use to it. The more you ride fast the less of a big deal it is. You get to where you are watching cars as far into the distance as you can see. I did have one headshake once at around 170 and I thought I was a dead man. Granted there was hardly any traffic on the roads back then at 5 am in the morning. I have had my share of close calls and was surprised I made it into my thirties. Now days the traffic is so fucking bad I just get out and cruise around.

Fuck that. Doing something like that on an empty highway is bad enough, but to risk that many other lives is just stupid.

I'll admit that I did some stupid shit when I was a bit younger, but never in traffic that thick. Never been on a bike, but the fastest I've ever gone on public roads was 165 in my C5. No other traffic around and my butt still puckered. I have no desire to go any faster than that on a public road.
