I did my wheels, as some may remember. They looked good for a while, but the black started to get a little sun-bleached. Not much, but noticeable. I went to peel it off a few weeks ago, and the front part where it was nice and thick came off without a hitch. The insides of the spokes and around the lug nuts, not so much, it was way too thin.
I did some searching/reading on the best way to get it off instead of spending hours picking off little dime-sized pieces, and Plasti Dip recommends Goo-Gone, of all things. Spray it on a paper towel, lay it on the area that isn't coming off very easily for 5-10 minutes, and it should wipe right off! I haven't tried it yet, but others in some forums I stumbled upon said it works like a charm! I'd probably not do that on a car's painted surface, but on wheels it should be a nice fix.
