How big of a drum do you need so you can dip the whole car in it?

It's smooth. Virtually no texture at all. And yes you can find it in spray cans too.

Finally a question that has not been asked to death! I think if you had a construction grade dumpster you could dip one side, flip n dip the other.

See, I'm thinking it could be suitable for duplicating Ford's "soft touch" coating that was on some trim parts. For instance the upper door trim on a fox body. I have a couple of pieces that the dessert heat has cracked up and I am going to have to sand down to the bare aluminum and repaint.

I did the windshield trim and quarter glass trim on mine.

How long can this stuff last on a vehicle?

A lot of factors in that.. . It has been left on some cars for over a year, and came off fine. Some have been on there for 2 to 3 years didn't peel in solid sheets, but more less little strips. Then again, there are some people that swear up and down they applied correctly, and with enough coats, and tried to peel it a month later and couldn't get it to peel in a solid sheet.

That sounds expensive. I guess you use a swimming pool to dip them? That'd be my choice

As long as you do several light coats you shouldn't have any.

Worst case scenario, they have a citrus based chemical you can spray on it that will dissolve the dip. Just spray it on, let it sit for 15 mins, then hit it with a pressure washer and its gone.
                                This ^

I haven't done a whole lot, but I've been painting bike parts with it since 06?

First time I did whole panels on cars I didn't do it thick enough, fuck me, what a pain in the ass it was to get it all off.

Last time I did a hood (with the spray cans) it peeled off in nearly one piece. Only one section about 5x7 kept it from being one solid piece.
