Trust me, I've given it a lot of thought. Out of all my schemes, flying into Mexico City and driving the 3 hours north and then getting the car back to Mexico City to trasnsport by truck/rail or by Ocean/Gulf, is the safest. They want cash and driving from here to there with, if I'm doing my conversion right is right about 30k+ plus bribe money, not worth it. The first way also adds a lot of expense too.

I dunno about that. This is one of my Holy Grail cars and wouldn't require me trying to fix it all the damn time. Actually, I take that back. The Daytona is one of my Holy Grail cars. You're probably right.

I remember riding in one when I was little and it was like a super hero's car to me, I get the fascination.

Well, I like them. Its not at the top of the list of muscle cars I want to own, but it was a purpose built icon of the era. I hate to see their prices rise, because that just means they will be farther and farther out of reach.

I have an old car trader from 1994 with a few in there for sale around $20k. Crazy to see how the last 20 years have treated them.

I remember my father driving home with a 1970 Superbird 440 6 Pack with 40k miles that he paid $1700 for in the 70's. He said that the little car lot he bought if from had owned it for over a year and was the 6th dealer to have bought it that couldn't sell it. I look at the pictures every once in a while and still can't believe it. He was thrilled when he sold it because he got $3500.
