I'm not a mopar fan, but I have wanted a superbird since I saw on at a car show as a little kid. Has to be orange with the roadrunner on the wing.

        False.

That car is not rice. Rice refers to adding wings, scoops, vents etc... that do nothing to make the car a better performer. Expecially when in use on 100 hp fwd 4 bangers. The street version of the winged cars needed the aero tricks to qualify them for use in stock car racing, where the aero bodies were very successful.

Never understood the desire to own such an ugly ass car.

A 71 Hemi Cuda Vert went for 2.5 million (after buyers fees) so you never can tell when its something with this things stickers and history. Car may only see a half million but I would expect 800-900k.

To date the highest price for a Superbird was $501K I think. Because of this cars storage and papers it should have no problem bringing at least that.

One nut job thought his 70 was worth three million but was slapped with an ACV of $125K. LOL

I thought the part where you said "That car 5 years ago was a 7 figure car" meant you were referring to that car/Superbirds in general, not all mopars. My bad, I guess I was confused. Would you like to place a bet on the ending auction price? I say less than $501k. If it was an untouched/unrestored "survivor" with 16k, it would be a different story. The sad thing is, with all of the documentation and it being low miles, it doesn't mean a whole lot when it's been fully restored. All of that originality is gone.

This. Those cars were wind-tunnel tested.

Maybe because it represents bending the rules to kick your competition's ass. Maybe because it used aero tricks to achieve a .28 cD and go 40mph faster than a standard Charger. Or maybe it's just a fascinating story in automotive history. I guess it doesn't really matter that a brokedick doesn't understand why high end car collectors would want to own one. They just do.

Theres one in Mexico, supposed to be all there, wing, front bumper, etc. And cheap too, thing is, getting there safe and then the hard part, getting back with the car, safely.

How do you know I'm a broke dick? Of course there is no way I could afford the ugly ass car. Everybody has different tastes and it looks like you can't respect that.

I need to work for the railroad to buy it lol.

I'm hoping to get you on my left nut, since Eric swapped his for a Superbird.

Except for the fact that they all have vinyl tops because the butcher-job to put in the slick rear glass was so bad.

I do appreciate the Superbird/Daytonas historical significance. The Ford guys can still have their Torino Talladegas and Cyclone Spoiler II's! I like the 69 Charger 500 because it was more aerodynamic than the standard Charger, but not ugly....

That's theoretically worth enough to bribe your way there and back.
