That was terrifying. The car looked like sloppy shit.

Well, it's no Focus, but it was decent.

z28 is running with 150 less hp.....

I bet those tires are toast after one run

My '13 GT500 is sketchy as hell in a straight line...no way in hell am I brave enough to try turning corners in it. Tail waggin the dog is a gross understatement.

Yeah, very sloppy handling, but whoever was driving sure was making that pig squeal and getting the most out of it. Clearly a hired hot shoe. Impressive it was so close to the Z28 but remember the Z28 ran in damp conditions especially towards the end of the run when it started raining.

So, what's the background on this run? Ford set this up? Who was driving? What mods (ie brake ducting, etc.?)

I've heard they ran the Z28 again when it was dry and only shaved about 6 seconds off. And of course it is a track car, where as the GT500 is a commuter with creature comforts and heft.

The Boss was built for the same thing, the Z is still faster. A solid axle car will not out perform an IRS car. Period.

Well, that isn't an outrageous statement or anything.

GT-R beats it by 20 seconds.

How exactly is a Z28 a track car? Just because it's offered without AC? (can still get it with) It could easily be a daily.

Well its engine sure sounds better than the LS.

I thought I had read that it didn't come with a radio, but now I'm not finding it, so my mistake.
