Car and Driver now says that it is a rendering and not actual photos of the car. But they say it is almost definitely what the next 'Stang looks like..

See people say this like its a bad thing. Its like saying "My wife looks too much like a super model."

Every car company ties in their noses. Dodge looks like a giant cross hair coming at you typically because every douche in a Dodge is trying to run you off the road. Audis all have that same tall grill now, BMWs still have the kidneys etc etc. The line up is a hell of a lot nicer than the 1990 Taurus/Escort/Probe/GT/Crown Vic styles they used to go for.

If you are gonna mimic a car it may as well be the best looking car currently made.

Yes, because I want my Mustang looking like a rebadged Fusion, which is a rebadged Jag, which is a rebadged Aston. It's one thing to make your vehicles somewhat uniform across the entire line, it is another to blatantly rip off another design over and over again, like the guy who has designed those 4 aforementioned cars has blatantly done.

I agree. The sport car line of the manufacturer typically doesn't mimic the family car of the manufacturer. There is a line.

Could be worse. At least it does not look like the last GTO or 4th gen Camaro.

why has no one mentioned the 10 speed auto and possible twin turbo 5-5.5 liter v8?

I'm worried about that 10 speed, but good lord gimme a twin turbo v8 and it can look like a mustang II for all I care
1971 Ford Torino - Time to go bigger and better.

                      2011 F150 Limited - Stock with a 6.2

Because the 10 speed will never happen. 7 speeds is pushing it and they already have plans on keeping the current 6 speed with tweaks. As for the engine, well that's a ways away as well if at all. I am sure we will se another GT350 but I bet it will be the same twin screw design the last one had.

While I agree these new slush boxes are getting nuts with gears, 10 is not out of the realm of reality. MB makes a 9 speed

I doubt the trinity will be around much longer. I'll take an EB v8 over a supercharged mod motor

And Dodge has an 8 speed in their new 300. Still don't see a 10 speed in the near Mustang future. They are trying to keep the prices somewhat obtainable.

I think most people haven't had issues with them and they will only get better as Ford continues to develop them. You make it sound like they are exploding all over the place
