        Awesome CJ

I appreciate the Flying Tigers pictures. Had a good friend that was a crewman for those guys in China.

My grandfather crewed on a B24 in China and India with the Flying Tigers. He didn't have any aerial shots but a handful of interesting pics.

The Life pics are cool as shit. Especially the color pics. They look like they were taken modern day of reenactors or something.

From Guadalcanal to Okinawa, Marine pilot Archie Donahue established his reputation as a combat ace.

This WW2 Double Ace lived two houses up from us in Texas City after the war. I remember all his stories and memorabilia he had. He gave a number of "pieces" to my father, Ed White, who had went to school with him at the School of Engineering at The University of Texas.

I was fortunate to meet him again when he was at Addison and had him autograph a few pictures. Quite a guy!

He epitomized the "Greatest Generation". I am glad I got to visit and talk with him before he passed away.
