      Yet sprint cars with ~900 seem to do ok. It's a combination of tire and shitty suspension design that makes them slow.

        A Sprint car weighs half as much and has a shitload more downforce/sideforce. Kyle Busch put "dirt ringer" Scott Bloomquist who had won over 100 dirt races @ Eldora in his truck to try and beat all of the truck regulars, and yet he finished 2 or 3 laps down and was never a factor in the race at any point.
