now that im on my lap top i'll again suggest a bump box.. it's not over the top and for a racing application it will allow you to do what you want.. come up on the brake, forget about the two step, and intermitently interrupt the brake to let you get in to the beems without losing boost.

That seems like it would be harder on the drivetrain than just reving it in 2nd and dumping the clutch.

Just watched the videos... Never heard of it until now... Great product. Lucky for me, I'm not running a pro tree so I get a little more time than them to build boost. I'm gonna practice more and if I can't build boost in time, I may look in to that. Thanks for the suggestion!

not too bad in my experience, since the tires are spinning the shock on everything is less on the shift, it's pretty smooth if you do it correctly.

I never ran the 1/4mile non turbo so I can only talk 1/8mile...

All motor, I was only running an 8.7

On a 100 shot, was running maybe an 8.3

Turbo with 6-speed only ran 7.9. Couldn't build boost off the line.

Bought a 2-step, changed nothing else and ran a 7.2

Swapped to an Auto and on my first night, ran a 6.8 but I know there's room for improvement.

The only time I was able to get my 98 to the track with the auto setup, I started out doing 1st gear burnouts on drag radials. After the 2nd or 3rd pass blowing the tires out I did a 1-2 burnout to which the guy at the staging line at Northstar promptly asked me to not do that anymore. I'm not really sure why I wasn't allowed but everyone else could. I went around the water, backed up to the edge of the water box, did the burnout and let the very end of it roll out before lifting. The car went straight, didn't feel or act like it was going to step out during the burnout. Don't know.
