Not bad. I was at Kennedale with the z06 and there was a c6 auto (when the c6 first hit the street) with the dealer tags on it running 8.1 @ 88.

I kinda agree with BlackGT above, but this is a n=1 sample. I'll hold off and see what the trajectory and clustering of runs look like.

Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?

You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

Hell my old 87 Buick V6 runs better than that and traps higher

Seriously though...I did actually expect a 2014 Vette to be a bit faster...but then again it did appear to be an auto and it didn't sound like it was working that hard. I'm almost willing to bet more than a few drivers will have them running in the 11's with little trouble.

There it is! LOL I agree though. One thing is for sure, it's a great time to be a car guy.

That's a pretty low mph for the power it has. Wouldn't be surprised if Hennessey did something shady.

Well they are rated at 460+, so I sure as hell hope it doesn't make 400HP!

If that is the case at 3000 to 3500lbs it should be well into the 11's.

I'm impressed. You gotta figure the base/auto is probably the slowest C7 offering, so it will only get better as other models hit the dragstrip. Not to mention each of these cars will easily exceed 1+G and look good doing it.

And as mentioned before, you have to assume a shop will sandbag a bit to show larger improvements when they start bolting their crap on it.

Our C7 made 398/388 bone stock with 28 miles on the odometer and 220* coolant temps. After a tune it made 330/325. Not too bad bone stock. We just lowered it yesterday, tinted the windows, took off some of the badging and tinted the amber lights on the front bumper corners. We have an extra set if LT1 heads we're going to get ported, spec a few cams for it, try out some different headers to see what it can do with simple mods.
