That's a sexy m5, not a bad price at all.

I had a family friend try to sell me her abused 328 last week for $500. I almost bought it just for fun, but she has had so many problems with that damn thing I'm not sure I want to. Still might anyway.

Maintenance isn't bad if you do it yourself, and get your fluids and generic parts from the chain parts places. BMW specific parts are $$$ though, and labor is a killer. I was quoted just under $2k to do the rear pads, rotors, and wear sensors. Tuned out that I just needed pads and the sensors, which I swapped myself for a little over $100.

Do it for short term. Enjoy it for a bit, mark the notch on your belt, take the resale BMW hit, and smile when you give the keys to the new owner.

                  Yeah, me too.

I have to hide it on Saturdays at the shop, people keep trying to buy it.

I don't do very good with taking hits on vehicles. I like to make money or break even on them

Drove a v10 m5, dope, exotic car-like, and if it goes boom, exotic-car bucks. v10 m5 is very very sweet, but exotic basically!

I will probably buy one at some point though (when I need 4 doors), I'm driving an e46 M3 at the moment.

I want a 03ish M3 with the clutchless standard in a bad way for my next daily but fixing an older "semi high end" sports car is steering me away from it.

I cant speek for the newer ones, but mine is a pile of crap. It wouldnt be worth registering it if it was a ford or gm product in this shape. But, I really like driving it. I have bit off a hell of a lot to chew, but I'll get it knocked out slowly. Even with worn out suspension, a drivers window that wont move, a sketchy sunroof, and an a/c blower fan that works randomly, it still is a decent driver.

You cant say that about many cars. Hell my Altima was a great car, bought nearly new, and Id rather drive this pile.

They are fun cars and I hate admitting it. I hate more that I am about to state I would take a new M3 over a new GT but I would. I got tainted after owning a lightly used C230 Kompressor sedan now I have a german xmas tree addiction lol.
