I'll defend them because I am a biker and always will be. There is evidence that the earlier incident did happen (it was on Sean Hannity tonight as well) and after watching the video several times, I saw no one do anything other than what appears to be them telling him to stay put. Regardless, he had no right to run those people or their property over, I saw no threat being presented. Why would they have been trying to get him to stop? Do you think they picked him out at random to harrass?

I personally have been deliberatly swerved at and almost hit on my bike by some punk ass kids who appeared to be in their early 20's. We as a group pulled them on to the shoulder and asked them "What the F#$k?" They said they were just playing around and started laughing. I'll bet the driver didn't think it was to funny after I put all of my weight behind the punch he got through his window. People do not have any regard for motorcyclists and in my opinion the driver of this SUV got everything he desrved. He's probably lucky it didn't happen here in Texas because he would probably gotten his ass shot.

They did not come into my lane by accident, they would swerve over like they were trying to hit us and then would start laughing. This happened 5 or 6 times. I guess when someone puts your life in danger for fun then you react however you like, but I didn't think it was to funny when I could have not made it home to my wife and kids because some young asshole thought it would be funny to run me into another car or bike. Could I have handled it differently sure, but I bet the guy thinks twice before he thinks its funny to run bikes off the road. I will say this though, if I thought the guy in the suv was justified I'd say so, I'm not biased just because it was bikers. Iknow it kind of seems that way from my original post, but this also brought back the emotion from the situation I was put in. With that being said, I still haven't seen anything that would have made me feel I was in fear for my life if I were in the drivers seat of that suv from that video. I've also seen numerous comentators say the same thing, so I am not alone in that thought. Audio would help tramendously. I will also change my view on it if someone can show me something that would make most people feel their life was in danger.

You are defending the same group who attacked a prius two two years earlier because he honked at them while they were running red lights. Biker or not those guys were out of line and deserved to be run over.once they started engaging the range rover.

I know nothing about that, but if those are the exact facts of it I would not condone that at all. I'm not trying to come off as bikers are always right in every situation but with the video evidence of this situation I side with them here until I see something that would prove they weren't provoked.

Exactly so no one knows what happened before this, do you feel that they just singled this guy out for no reason? There was obviously some sort of interaction before all of this took place. It seems that you all are just arguing to argue because you have chosen a side and refuse to look at it from the other side. Have you logically thought about what you are seeing.

You do realize it's illegal to force someone else to stop on a freeway? In no way shape or form is that legal. So first thing we start with a crime on camera.

This is a solid point. I'm extra cautious around bikes, but they generally are careless from my perspective. I'm actually flabbergasted when I see one riding in a safe manner and not making ME feel like I can't drive normally. (i.e. not riding 1' from my door, not riding 3" from my rear bumper, not cutting 6" in front of me to cut across 3 lanes, not cutting lanes at speed, and so on)

Actually, the Police know... Not only do they have many witness statements, they also have some of the bikers helping them. They also have more video from the incident, so they know more than you. How about also the fact that Cruz, the one who started it, talked to the media the other day. Never once did he blame the driver of the suv for anything. He stated this isn't really like him and it has turned his life upside down. If he was going to say the suv was at fault, that would be the time. You make one great detective.

I found this on another message board. If you Google the first sentence, it has been repostsed quite a bit. Is it true, or just speculation by a NY trucker?

“As a trucker that would deliver in north jersey and New York I am familiar with these groups. I can hopefully clarify a few things. First the initial “accident” is part of a game they play. They ride in a huge group and will operate together to slow down traffic.

Next they pick out high end vehicles targeting people with families in them, the targets will usually be white or Asian. Then one of the riders will do a “brake check” and stop suddenly in front of the target vehicle causing a minor bump. In some cases they will just roll back into their target vehicle. They will then mob the vehicle demanding money and or begin attacking the person inside. It is their practice to also slash the tires to prevent the vehicle from escaping.

Truckers are well aware of them and are advised not to stop. You can clearly see in the video how they are well practiced in this style of attack. The police in NY have backed off them after an officer ran one down using his vehicle a few months back. The video was all over the net so I advise you to check it out.

These “bikers” ride dirt bikes and sport bikes very few of which are street legal and even fewer have plates. They run red lights, stop signs, and have no regard for the law. If you are ever in this situation do not stop, immediately call the police and do whatever you have to to keep them from boxing you in. NEVER leave the scene of an accident if you are not under direct threat!!! Only run if you have no other choice, and again immediately call the police.

This is not rare by any means, the only reason this incident got any attention is because of the helmet cam video being posted on the net. If you see anyone in this situation, call the police.

Make no mistake confusing these punks with true bikers. You will rarely if ever see a member of these gangs on a Harley. Do not for a minute blame true bikers for this kind of behavior. Bikers like those involved in the 2 million Bikers to DC Rally are American Patriots and would be among the first to come to your aid.

A final note, always be aware of motorcycles and share the road. Check your mirrors and don’t ride anyone’s bumper, motorcycles have a much smaller profile then a car and are harder to see.”
