  • 1968 F100: coyote swap victim

If the 5.0 does get totalled, it's being set up for a nice coyote swap. Here's a the potential victim. More progress to come if/when the car gets to Colorado.currently has a 429/460 with a blown head gasket

Is $2800 a bad deal for the truck? It was running driving before head gasket failed.

I think it's a little on the steep side for that body style. Not knocking it, but it's just not one of the generations of Fords that has taken off much at all....especially the latter part of them (78'+ ?) that had square lights. I recently came across a 71' SWB that is pretty straight running and driving at $3500 right here in DFW.

$2500-$3000 is probably a fair running/driving price on this one. The color is going to hurt it on resale big time. (but as evidenced elsewhere on this site, I am allergic to Yellow )

All I can tell you is, decide what you want to build BEFORE looking for something to build.

Do you really want a coyote powered 5000lb yellow '79 Ford truck? Because you're going to invest a ton of money and effort into something you'll be stuck with for.ev.er.

                              or just sell the motor..
