I figured I'd make one thread that will house all my retarded rc crap from now on. and to start it all off a quick revamp of the look of my BF-109.
She's had a lot of time in the air and the paint was starting to look shitty. I cleaned it up by weathering it. Despite my air brush giving me more problems than hair lip in a whistling contest. think it turned out okay.

It takes some awesome skills to build those. I don't have nearly enough artistic talent, nor the patience to deal with small breakable parts. 10mm bolts work just fine for me! lol

That's right, I'm not showing this off any where else but here. I'm going to do a full write up in my clubs news letter when it's done. But I figured I'd share it here along the way.
You may or may not remember I was working on a foam SR71. Well, as the build progressed I ran into a problem. The way I was mounting the motors just bothered me. It didn't look strong. So I put it on hold and moved on.
Then just the other morning I woke to my alarm, and WOW! It hit me. But rather than rebuild the already disappointing model I'd been working on... I took my newly learned knowledge and took the big step forward I'd been planning to do after my smaller one flew. Go big or go home right?

After the failure here I started over on the final project.

It's a little bigger. Anyway... on with the cutting!

Then I glued the two profiles together.



a piece of carbon fiber for good measure. Another will soon be placed in the rear.


then came the start of the nacelles.


fallowed by a test fit of the vertical stabs.


then the ribbing for the fuse.


The new bird is a bit bigger...

I have a hobby room. My shit goes in there for storage, and gets worked on in the living room. that way I can work on my planes and still get time with my family.
