Nice project. The question is, did it work when you bought it?
Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

What company did you use to have it sandblasted?

Damn, nice project. I would have had it media blasted and Sdun is right, stud gun and metal work all you can, that way the less plastic filler the better.

Though if it were mine I would have shot some flat clear on it, new compressor and fired it up!

It was a small mexican "shop" down the road from me. When I say shop I mean you drive to the back of a towing lot to a trailer, and they start blasting.

This one isnt a refrigerated type unfortunately, its the Ice cooler type. I was thinking about picking up the stud welder kit from harbor freight, anybody have any experience with those?

Also known as a spitznagel. They work pretty good, but if you hold heat on them too long or the metal is thin, then it will break and leave a hole. I did this on my ysr50 tank. Had to weld it back up.

                You got that right.

I was able to get the lid apart, and pretty much all those top dents I was able to work out with a hammer. Some even pushed out, guess somebody at one time sat something heavy on it and just dimpled it in.
