  • RC lockheed L-133 thread.

Figured I'd go ahead and give it it's own thread after all.
    Recap:
Friend hits me up to build a lockheed L-133 with him, he says he will power it if I build the air frame. Turns out I had already been kicking the idea of building one for a while and had already done a ton of researching and brain storming. And right after work I ran home and got to work!

The plan was to make a prototype to learn from and then build it for real powered by REALLY powerful EDF's. So out came the projector and here we go!

    and then

a little hot glue, and we had a 45" rough draft.

then a crap ton of sanding later the draft wasn't nearly as rough.

now I get to find a good CG, and look like a dork while doing so.(nothing as horrifying as the sight of a grown man running with a big toy airplane....)
after that the prototype will get a pusher prop and some servos and become a working model. I'll fly it as a hand launcher and figure out how well the shape really flies before we build and fly the proposed 55" expensive bird...

Thanks man, I am a bit nervous, seeing as my friend just dropped almost $300 on EDF's and ESC's for this project. I'm not used to building with other peoples money.

Yea but we build our toys to tear them up. I am sure he knows that.
