I got to ride on Fat Albert at the Alliance air show back in 2009 right before they stopped doing the JATOs. It was one hell of a ride.
Our unit used to host the Angels when they did their 420 day phase inspection on Fat Albert. They brought it in for their 420 day inspection not long after that video was shot. They had a sizeable crack in the wing box. That's kind of a big deal haha. It was what caused a fire fighting C-130 to loose it's wings in mid flight.

They had been toying with the idea for a while with some Navy pilots practicing it. They needed an engine for one of the jets delivered so they used that as an opportunity to perform these landings and takeoffs.2004 Suzuki DL650
