You better keep tabs on your shit especially with a section 8 renter and if they were still close by.

Maybe when the neighborhood went to shit no one with any sense would buy it so they had no choice but to accept an offer from the gubmt. My thoughts anyways. People are such pieces of shit btw. That house was once beautiful.

The area that home is you can buy a house for 40k, down from an average of 150k in 2007. I imagine they are on the hook for 200k and don't want to default. I don't think they could sell or rent to a normal person in that area without going the Section 8 route.
From experience, section 8 is not an option for me. He'd have been better off to rent it for half price.

He probably couldn't. Did you watch the entire video?

I did. I have a question. Why did they rent it out? Did they build a new place? Transfer for a job? Why not stay there? I don't remember them talking about WHY they rented it out. I do feel for them, but it's like people here on the board "toting the note" for someone. A lot of things can happen, and only one of them is "good".

They said there was a gunfight across the street, his car got broken into, and they no longer felt it was safe for their young children to live there. They rented elsewhere just to get away from it. You sure you watched it all? lol

I did. He should have stayed.

I wouldn't have been in Atlanta to begin with!

Well he was there and he got out when it got too bad. Obviously desperate he had to rent his house out to some lowlife scum because no one else with half a brain would live there.

He should've bought a new house (if they intended to stay for a long time) and let the other one go. There is no way it sells for what they have into it for another 10-15 years.

Strangely enough the man cited his personal religious philosophies as to why he wouldn't let it go. I actually respect that, even if there is no way I'd do it myself. It's rare to see someone stick that seriously to their convictions. It's one of the reasons I feel bad for him. It looks like he tried to do the right thing and was fucked at every turn.

Pretty much this. Just a shitty deal all the way around, and the guy did/has done everything in his power to do the right thing, it seems.

So...I'm wondering which way the guy voted in the elections and which way he'll vote now?
