The problem with Detroit is the people in it. Most of the attitude is that the government/city/society owes them everything because the city was once great and now it's a pile of crap. They all fail to realize that they are the cause of the cities state. I met a few industrious people in Detroit but it was at a ratio of 200 to 1. Most of them are waiting around until the city makes a come back and they get their old $30/hr job back. Instead of moving and finding more work they're waiting for the work to come back to them. Most of them live like the stubborn rat in Who Moved My Cheese. There are some really nice places in MI and Iv been to a lot of them. But Detroit sucks. Iv walked down every street in Detroit and Iv knocked on every single home in Detroit. I lived there and did door-to-door sales. The majority of people there dont have any drive to get better. They just want to wait around until someone hands them their old job back.
So when you want to post about how great Detroit/Mi is shut up until you've actually been there and met most of the population.
