My FRC for comparision with me in the car was 3220 on stock wheels and runflats... almost 100 lbs less than my 08 (with the bottle out)...
I was going off GM published weights for C6 vs C7. So with both cars with all fluids and full tank of gas there was only a 90lb difference. Only time will tell when consumers take their cars to the scales. I need to weigh my c5 z06 with with less than a 1/4 tank to see what it weighs. I guess that full tank penalizes my car 140lbs at minimum.

I like the looks of the C6 better but would love to have the interior and drivetrain.

You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

Don't like it. Camaros never grew on me and I don't think this will either.

Is it just me or does anybody else like having to get to know a car by driving it rather than the car just telling you what it can do? I remember the first time I pulled out onto a street in the rain in my mustang and ended up face first in on-coming traffic and learning something new about the car and just random experiences like that. I like cars being "raw" to an extent. Now, they're so sophisticated, a 5 year old could drive them if it had long enough limbs.

Part of me is like that. In a way, my Cobra is just as raw as my 70 cougar was. Aside from a CD player, power windows, locks and a seat, it basically has the same level of technology. Thats fine and all, but I still like comfort too.

Not me. I've seen several lately that just look boring. One was a blue similar to the denim color that ford used on the Expeditions (1st gen). The c7 just looks tits.

                            from CF on the weight:

The DI added 35ish pounds of content. Then they had to add a bigger balancer, dual-mass flywheel, and a steel torque-tube to handle driveline harmonics in V4 mode. Then you've got the standard coolers, bigger brakes, and stronger trans/diff to deal with the mid-range torque hit not to mention the e-dif gear. Not hard to see why the car got heaver even with the aluminum chassis and lighter body panels. In one of the articles Tadge said, "It'd be easy to make the car light if we weren't concerned about fuel economy". That seems backward until you look at the numbers the car puts up... it's quite incredible. This is a car that you will be able to daily drive, road trip getting mid 30s, and tear around a track. The new tech has truly widened the performance envelope of these cars.

I doubt any dealer would be willing to throw enough cash on top of the vette to make me consider giving up the power Yaris.

                                You made me curious...

did you know there are people who actually care about the performance of Yarii (Yarises?)
