I just bought her a $3k ring the other day. she's happy. She also thinks the planes are cool, and is learning to fly.
She wants to do combat.

Looks like you're having a blast with the hobby, glad your wife supports it. I don't even want want to add up what I have invested in airplanes and equipment, nor do I want the wife to know how much is invested! She has an idea what it costs, and she's supportive, too. Mine doesn't participate like yours, so she has time to herself when my son and I go to the field.

On a side note, you going to the swap meet on August 10th?

I'll be working it, it's my first one, I've been told it's real good.
I'm blessed to have my wife, she and I are in to almost all of the same things, and enjoy each other’s company every chance we get. We share the same sense of humor, and mostly have the same friends. There is no other person I'd rather be with at any time. The guys in the field tell her she needs to hold classes so the other wives can learn how to act. lol
I used to have a friend that couldn't understand why I always wanted to bring my wife with me when I went to the track or the air field. I told him I married her because I like being around her, why wouldn’t I bring her?

Today was our Hotter than Hell Pylon race. Great weather, great turnout, not so great finish for me.

the mustang is fixable, but I think the dogfighter is toast. may have trashed the motor, and the air frame is wasted.
On a positive note, the A10 was maidened and flew well. I need to paint it and I'll take some new pictures.

finally finished, turned out better than I thought. I fixed the boxy canopy that had been bothering me.





since it's a belly lander, the rockets are held on by magnets. When the plane hits the ground, the rockets fall off.
I'll post flight pictures in the air ASAP!

I started building this yesterday, wanted a biplane, and the cheapest one I could find was $200, so I decided to build one. So far I'm $2 in on the build. $2.10 fi you count the tooth picks.
I figure I can do this one without actually ordering anything. I should have enough spare parts laying around to get it in the air.
