My parents have 5. They got two for free which seems to be the going rate for horses. Ferrier(sp) fees, feed, etc ain't free but they like them.

Just do not buy a cheap mexican made saddle. They fall apart easy and never fit the horses well. When we had our feed store and saddle shop my FNL and myself built and repaired saddles. We sold Billy Cook, Circle Y, and our own. We did keep some of the cheap mexican made, because there were always people who just wanted the cheapest saddle they could get, no matter if it wasn't worth $50. Nice looking paint BTW.

Horses can live to be over 30. My Mom had a blanket appaloosa that lived to be 35!
