A homeowner says he found Robert Clifton Cole, 31, breaking into his home, so he hogtied him and left him in the front yard for police.

    TULSA, Oklahoma -

A man was arrested early Wednesday after a homeowner caught him breaking into his house, police said. Just before 6 a.m., police said the homeowner heard someone trying to break into his residence in the 2600 block of East 54th Street North.

When he went to investigate, he found Robert Clifton Cole, 31, grabbed him, hog-tied him and left him in the front yard for police. The homeowner had to go to work, so he left his wife to watch Cole until officers arrived.

"It looks like he's on something right now. He's making all kinds of crazy statements and not making sense of where he's at. He's actually claiming he's in Jenks, Oklahoma, of all places," TPD Cpl. Dan Miller said.

Cole was charged with possession of drugs and larceny of merchandise in 2011, but the charges were later dismissed.

He is being held at the Tulsa County jail in lieu of $32,079 bond.

My wife would have kicked my ass if I left her there waiting for the police like that. That is a crazy story.

Interestingly enough, this Hog-tie burglar story, happened about 5 miles from where that lady was, when her interview made her Internet famous.
