Wow, thanks everybody for the kind words - I appreciate it.
I'm familiar with Dallas and crime, we lived on the M streets for a few years before the move to Austin. Luckily we are on a pretty private street and there's no reason to be here unless you're coming to a house on this street. Everything will be locked tight, house also has a 3 car garage and 3 spots in the back.
Shorty, I'm almost positive I've seen your mother around if said German Shepherd is gi-normous.
The pool is salt, and that fucking fireplace is limestone and gigantic. The living room ceilings are 12 foot and it goes floor to ceiling.
The cowskin rug is a phenomenal idea ... hell, I might pick one up tomorrow and snap some pics while the wife isn't here, lmao.
Matt, yes the Yaris is alive and kicking for the time being. It's actually chilling at dfw airport while I roll around in the wife's ride.
Henry, values in Lake Highlands right now are varying greatly due to elementary school district. That White Rock Elementary that Gear Jammer mentioned is the hottest right now. Merriman Park and this neighborhood are next. If you don't have school aged children, you can get a much more reasonable deal in very nice areas of Lake Highlands that aren't in 1 of the 3 mentioned elementary school districts. In Moss Haven elementary right now, prices are running about $120 a foot for homes with zero updates that need a lot of work. Some / half way updated homes here are fetching $130-$140 a foot, and go up from there as the level and quality of updates increases.
Also, keep in mind that most of the houses in Lake Highlands were built in the same time period, and very few have an open floorplan like this one. In fact, this is the only house I saw out of over 100 that was open floorplan ... because these people opened it up as part of their remodel.
Thank you again everybody for the kind words.Originally posted by davbrucasI want to like Slow99 since people I know say he's a good guy, but just about everything he posts is condescending and passive aggressive.
Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?
You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

We have a realtor coming by Monday to look at our house and put it on the market. Not really looking forward to this process again but this neighborhood is going to shit. We are moving further up 287 in the Decatur, Bridgeport, Paradise area out side of the city limits.
And great looking house, pick it up with the pool and relocate it to the country and that's exactly what we're looking for.You remember the stories John use to tell us about the the three chinamen playing Fantan? This guy runs up to them and says, "Hey, the world's coming to an end!" and the first one says, "Well, I best go to the mission and pray," and the second one says, "Well, hell, I'm gonna go and buy me a case of Mezcal and six whores," and the third one says "Well, I'm gonna finish the game." I shall finish the game, Doc.
